A summer of hands-on action along Oregon’s waterways wrapped up in September. From May through September, the series supported 64 cleanup events across 10 counties, engaging 1,400+ volunteers who collectively removed over 24,000 pounds of litter from waterways and natural areas throughout the region.

From September 18 through September 27, communities across Oregon and Southwest Washington came together for SOLVE’s annual Beach & Riverside Cleanup. During a 10-day volunteer effort, 1,553 volunteers participated in 96 cleanup and restoration projects across 15 counties, contributing more than 3,100 hours of service. Following a successful inaugural event in 2025, SOLVE is bringing Pick It Up, Bend! back to the community on Sunday, September 27, from 10 am to noon.
