A summer of hands-on action along Oregon’s waterways wrapped up in September. From May through September, the series supported 64 cleanup events across 10 counties, engaging 1,400+ volunteers who collectively removed over 24,000 pounds of litter from waterways and natural areas throughout the region.

From September 18 through September 27, communities across Oregon and Southwest Washington came together for SOLVE’s annual Beach & Riverside Cleanup. During a 10-day volunteer effort, 1,553 volunteers participated in 96 cleanup and restoration projects across 15 counties, contributing more than 3,100 hours of service. From inland neighborhoods to rivers and the Oregon Coast, SOLVE is bringing communities together this September for its annual Beach & Riverside Cleanup, taking place September 18–27 across Oregon and Southwest Washington.

During the citywide Pick It Up, Portland! SOLVE launched LOVE PDX, a local initiative to inspire community action to protect and beautify the local parks, streets, waterways, neighborhoods, and public spaces that make Portland special.
